Royal Society Summer Exhibition

When: 1st – 5th July 2026

We are delighted to announce that Lindemann Alumnus, James McGilligan, of Strathclyde has been invited to speak as part of the Royal Society’s Summer Exhibition programme.

On Friday 3rd July, at 12pm, James will be giving a talk on the history and science of timekeeping. You can find the full details here. James completed his Lindemann Fellowship in 2018 at the National Institute of Standards and Technology, Boulder.

A recording of this talk will be available later on the Royal Society YouTube channel.

 

Introduction to Science, Magdalene College, Cambridge

When: Friday 27th November 2026 and Spring term 2027 (exact date tbc)

For: Year 6

This year, we are delighted to be able to add a second visit to Cambridge to our schedule! More details will be available in due course. If you would be interested in speaking, or are a school eager to attend, do let us know.

 

Introduction to Science, University of Edinburgh

When: Autumn term (date tbc)

For: P6/7

Hosted in partnership with the University of Edinburgh, we will be joined by scientists from Edinburgh and Strathclyde Universities, to present on topics including atomic clocks and AI.
